Hi thanks for the email today, the short answer is yes and no. We do not recommend this pot or any other anodized pot for open fire cooking as it can damage and even melt the pan due to the inability to control the temperature of the fire.
The exception to this usage would be to have a grill grate that would allow you to control the height of the pot over the flame thus by regulating the temperature of the fire. Also using the grate over a bed of coals would allow you to control the heat source as well.
Please note that a certain amount of previous experience in outdoor cooking is suggested when attempting this method/equipment and if there is any uncertainty we would recommend either changing the cookware to something more heat resistant or the heat source to use the pot.
