Hello and thank you for your interest, due to the design and the heat sink features of the Jet boil 5L flux pot we do not recommend using it with the MSR whisperlite, the outer ring of the pot bottom is designed to sit over a larger stove grate than the whisperlite can provide. The inner diameter of the pot is 8.5 inches and the maximum length of the stove supports is 7.5, which would cause the stove to be in direct contact with the pot's bottom and not resting on the outer ring, which is how it was designed to be used.
