Hello the Deuter Kid Comfort Child Carrier does not fully come apart for washing however some parts are possible for opening up for easier access while the chin pad is completely removable In addition, Deuter recommends hand washing with warm washing and a mild detergent, usage of a washing machine can cause premature wear and tear due to the agitator or even possible failure if used.
