Nope! The Java kit acts like a french press, and so the JetBoil Coffee Press (included) is the only accessory need to brew a cup of coffee. First, boil the water, then add the coffee grounds right into the water and stir. Apply the coffee press, secure the lid, and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes. When it's read, gently press the plunger to the bottom and enjoy!
