Is there a way to connect the mat loops to keep mat from slipping out from the sides?

I have the big Agnes anvil 15 bag and have noticed two loops on either side of the elastic that holds the mat in place. Is there a specific tie or rope that needs to be drawn across to prevent the mat from slipping out.?

While those loops included on the pad sleeve are intended to be used for hanging or storage, you may be able to use rope or cord to better secure your sleeping pad. Most inflatable pads will fit securely in the pad sleeve, but it will depend on the thickness and width of your sleeping pad. The pad sleeve is designed to work best with Big Agnes sleeping pads in the 20"-25" wide range and 3.5" in thickness.
